I am pregnant and in the WI National Guard as what is know as an M-day soldier. (I do drills and AT but I do not work full time as an AGR soldier). I am aware that I am to recieve 42 days of maternity "leave" beginning the day that I deliver. I know this means that I do not have to attend any duty dates scheduled in that window, nor do I have to STA or make them up– they are excused. However, I am wondering if I am entitled to pay for the scheduled dates that I would be missing.
For example, I am due Oct 13th. I would only be missing drill in November before I return to duty. Would the 4 UTA’s in November be pay that I am entitled to because I am on "leave" or no?

I was doing regular cardio and strength trainning prior to becoming pregnant, but was working 2 jobs so had to stop training as I had no time. I have cut down on my work and am only working evenings now, and have the time to start excercising again. I just joined up with a gym and have a session with a personal trainer to go through some safe excercises for pregnant women, but its not for 2 weeks and I am keen to start asap, any advice? I am 21 weeks pregnant. Also how long can you keep excercising up untill, full term?

My grandmother and a cousin both developed severe rheumatic autoimmune diseases after pregnancy, when being previously fine before pregnancy. I have not been able to find any additional evidence of pregnancy causing an autoimmune disease to develop, but am wondering if anyone knows of a link between the two, either clinical or anecdotal.
I realize that pregnancy has effects on women who already have autoimmune diseases, but am trying to weigh the risks of developing an illness from being pregnant. Any additional information would be very helpful. Thank you!
