I heard that if you wear a colored contact throughout your pregnancy, your baby will come out with eyes thesame color as the contact. My friend tried this with green contacts and her baby really did come out with green eyes even though both parents have brown eyes. And may I also include that the parents are black and we know how rare it is for a black to have green eyes. So is this all really a myth or can/does it truly happen? if not then what about my friend?

I am ten weeks pregnant and I have gained about 2 and a half pounds total, but it’s all concentrated right at my tummy. My pants and skirts are uncomfortable at the waist and hips, but I know I am several weeks away from needing maternity clothes.
I know the rubberband trick. That works great with some outfits, but not all.
I’ve seen ads in magazines for a "bella band"–stretchy fabric that allows you to leave pants unzipped without falling off or looking silly. Have you ever used one? If so how well did it work? What do they cost? Was it worth the investment?
I’m also open to other suggestions, BUT I don’t do sweats in public–cute on some women, slouchy on me. I don’t do overalls either–cute on some women, farmer-like on me.
Thanks!

All the ones i’ve found are extremely low in the back and I would need to be able to wear a bra with my prom dress.
I want a halter like Leighton Meester at the 2009 Oscars without the knots.
Any suggestions?

I am 17 years old, 5"7, UK size 12 but have bra size 30 HH. Is there any chance i can become a plus size underwear model? I mean the ones that model underwear for like Bravissimo and the other big boobed bra companies. (I live in the UK)
And how would i go about doing this?
Here’s a picture of my face:

I have seen various BBW and even SSBBW models wearing thigh high stockings The lingerie sights don’t have anything for sale even close. My girlfriend is a big girl who would like to wear thigh highs but so far the only thing she has been able to manage is something that just clears her knees. Where do these models shop?

I’m 52 and three months pregnant as a surrogate for my son and daughter-in-law. I’m staring to show a lot sooner than I did with my previous pregnancies, although I’m not enormous yet. To any women who have been pregnant later in life, can you please give me any suggestions on buying maternity clothes? I want to be modest, but not frumpy.

Now before people jump on me, I am aware that I have no right to dictate what people can wear. I’m a size 12 myself, so in no way am I a skinny minnie. But at least I do wear shirts that are appropriate for my size.
I see way too many big women wearing tops that are way too tight and small, and it is not cute. I see it every day at work, and it looks tacky. No one wants to see lumps, bumps and rolls popping out of a top that’s two times too small, especially at work.
Big women need to wear tops that are more forgiving to their shape, and stop trying to dress like these skinny women. There are plenty of stores like Ashley Stewart and Lane Bryant and Torrid that have cute tops that are size appropriate. Anyone else have opinions on this?
@ double: looking at the big women at my job, I highly doubt that they ever used to be small…..lol
and it just dawned on me that alot of the clothing makers charge a bit more for plus sized clothing than clothing in regular sizes. Perhaps that is why some big women do what they do. In that respect I guess I could understand, but it still doesn’t look right.

I’m really short, not even 5 feet tall, but I should be wearing about a 1X… the only thing is that all the women’s plus sizes I’ve seen are WAY long when I try them on, the boob part is WAY too big (my boobs are only like a b cup, and they make plus sized clothing to fit ONLY BBW’s with BIG BOOBS), and like the arm holes are always way too big so that you can see my bra and half of my side. Where can I find plus sizes?
And what’s the difference between an extra large and a 1X? If an extra large is too small for me, should I go to a 1X or a 2X?

I have been searching and searching for the perfect pair of maternity jeans, and it is much harder than I thought! Since I’m tall and pretty tiny, jeans are either too short or to big. I know, don’t say it… I shouldn’t be complaining! I just want to feel cute this time around. So, I narrowed it down to Rock and Republic, Citizens of Humanity, or Seven for All Mankind. Which ones do you think are the cutest, especially for someone with skinny legs and butt? Thanks! Your advice really will help me decide which ones to buy.

Oops! I forgot to say which was which.
Rock and Republic is first, then Citizens, then Sevens. Thanks!
