My maid of honor is a big girl (I’m not small myself). She also has a large bust that requires alot of support. I am allowing each of my girls to wear the style of dress they feel comfortable in. The problem is that on a normal day, she often wears spagehti strap tank tops with no bra, and the shirt doesn’t always cover her properly. I want to suggest some flattering styles for her body type, but don’t I’m afraid she will not like the choices and might be offended. Any suggestions on how to suggest them without making her feel unattractive? Do you know of any stores or websites that feature reasonably priced bridesmaid dresses for full figured women?

Okay so I gained ALOT of weight over the summer. I used to be a size 18 in girls plus. according to their size chart , a size 16 in the girls section has waist and hip measurements of 27, and 36 . My waist measurement is 24 and hip is 34 . I am going to order stuff off line form old navy , the olny thing I am worried about is that they might not fit because stuff in the girls section is usually narrow at the hips , and it might fit uncomfortably . I would go to the adult section but I really don’t like the selection they have.
so based on my waist and hip measurements would a girls size 16 be too small for me?

I have a large bust (36DD) but the rest of me is a healthy weight. When I wear shirts like this, they look like maternity shirts on me because my chest makes the whole thing stick out. Are you supposed to wear a belt (under your bustor something) with shirts like this so that they are cinched in a little? I am not "trendy" and I am not a young teenager either so I don’t want to wear anything too "out there".

Can someone find a photo of what kinds(s) of belts I should wear with this kind of shirt, if you are "supposed" to wear one? Thanks!
Maybe that wasn’t the best shirt to use as an example – I meant a shirt with a style like that (like in a solid color) not necessarily with a pattern.

And I LOVE long necklaces (someone suggested that) but with my chest, I don’t think I can wear them because they either hang right between my boobs or else stick out really far and swing around as I walk and otherwise draw waay too much attention to The Girls!

I’m thinking of getting a girls’ size XL or a women’s size small. I only tried on the girls’ size XL, and it fits well (it’s awkward to stretch over my head tho, as the shoulder pads are a little bulky. Or are my arms just long?). Plus, the girls’ jacket is about bucks less.

B: Where should I buy them? I live in Boston. City Sports is pretty pricey. From what I heard, I should try D i c k s Sporting Goods, but their online prices are pricier! I plan on buying the jacket physically, so are the store prices cheap ish? The girls jacket should be about 0 and the womens should be 5.

Or should I get Columbia? It gets mighty cold in Boston, so I was thinking that I should go with better quality…
