…How sometimes, when child stars that everybody knows get a job on a TV show, the character that they play has the same first name as their actual name? For example, in Hannah Montana you’ve got Miley Cyrus playing Miley Stewart, you’ve got Drake Bell playing Drake Parker, Josh Peck playing Josh Nicolls (Both on Drake and Josh) and you’ve got Mary-Kate and Ashley doing that aswell sometimes…have you noticed?

I have recently gained a lot of weight. I went from a comfortable size 16 to a size 20. I have been down from a knee injury, and because of that, I haven’t been able to move around and exercise. My problem is, my husband has been invited to this gala dinner with his job. Now that I have gained this extra weight, I don’t know how to dress for this,being a plus size woman now. He tell me all the time, I still look great, but I am so self conscious with myself now. Along with the weight gain, I have developed a big stomach as well. I look as if I am pregnant now. My question is, how can I dress for this event and still look great. Please, no harsh comments, as I feel bad enough already.

afford to go out and buy brand new dress slacks. I did just buy a pair of dark maternity jeans. Can I ask her if this is ok to wear since I am pregnant? I mean obviously if I get the job I will buy a couple things but right now I just cant. Has anyone else been in a similiar situation?

I hit 34 weeks Tuesday and I am just so miserable all the time except for when I’m laying on the couch. The baby absolutely loves my right rib cage and is forever more kicking me in it. So anytime that I’m not laying down he constantly kicks me trying to gain more room (poor little guy must be so cramped in there). On top of that I am so exhausted all the time and am plagued by cramps in my lower stomach and back all day long. Add that in with the heartburn, nausea and fatigue and that makes for one long work day (I’m still working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week). I have short term disability insurance but it won’t pay until I have the baby and I have no vacation time. My hubby said I could go ahead and take leave and he would just pick up some overtime but I so don’t want him to have to go through that because I know how much he hates it. So, is anyone else out there in a similar situation? How do you make through the day? Its very, very slow at my job right now so I spend 8 hours a day surfing the internet and that makes the day go by so much slower. Believe me, I’ve offered to help other departments and everyone is just really slow right now. So, any words of encouragement or any advice on how to get through the work day without wanting to break down and cry?

Ok, so here’s the deal. My fiance has a son with his ex they were NOT married. Right now child support is through the roof. They are taking more than half his pay a month. We have a 3month old child together and are getting married soon. We cannot afford anything! After my maternity leave my job only took me back part time.

Ok so now you have that. Well she decided to send their 4 1/2 yr old son to kindergarten this year. He will be 5 then 2wks later start school. We personally don’t think he’s ready, but we don’t have a say so. Well she lives in a city where they have a WONDERFUL school system! We’ve looked into it. Yet she’s choosing to send him to a private school which costs 0 a month. She complains that she doesnt have any money (even tho she gets 00 from us a month) She is just creating more money issues for herself. Since they were not married, this should not make child support go up even more correct? Because it’s an elective. she is choosing to send him there when there is a different, and much cheaper solution which is just as good. we literally cannot afford any more! We can’t pay any bills bc she gets all our money. we are struggling so much while she is living it up! We live in Cuyahoga County, (cleveland) Ohio. Any help or advice would be great!

A few months after I met my now husband, I found out I was pregnant.During my pregnancy he did little to support me as I could work less and less. I waited tables and by the time I was 7 months I could not handle the load I did before I was pregnant. I got even more behind as pre-pregnancy I was barely making it. A month before the baby was born he moved in and provided somewhat for the first few months of the babies life while I was unpaid maternity leave. During that time my bills from before him were not getting paid because there was no money plus all the hospital bills from crappy insurance. I had a few more hospital visits after then and began working at better job but it still didn’t cover all my bills. We decided to get married, but he refused to help me pay any of the bills except what he considered his – half the rent. and sometimes expenses to the baby Many of my bills went to collections and we ended up getting evicted. To make matters worse, I ended up getting pregnant again, but found an even better job. Before I met my husband I had some student loan debt, a car loan and some credit card debt equalling about ,000. Now with all the hospital bills and everything I owe over ,000. I am barely making it now and having to pay hundreds of dollars in bank fees each month. My husband hoards his money and will not even sit down with me to help me figure things out. I have no other family and am at a loss as to what to do. I don’t need to be critisized I just need sound advice on how to get out of this. I am in a bad cycle that if I just leave money in the bank, it gets eaten up and I can’t provide for my kids. My marriage is falling apart and my husband is verbally abusive. I have tried shelters but they have no room and there is a waitlist unless I call the cops on my husband. I have tried legal aid, but I make too much. The lawyers I have talked to want at least 00 down to file for bankrupcy. I make ,000, and I live in the most expensive county in the US where the cheapest rent I could find takes up half of my monthly paycheck and daycare a fourth of it. My credit can’t get worse. I just need ideas and resources on how I can get better for my kids sake and leave this relationship.
I also do not use credit cards and have not used them for over a year. I work strictly on a cash basis.

Im a bigger girl looking to find a graduation dress. I have only a week to get the dress (so no shipping for dresses) and i need to be able to go and try it on in store (no online stores). I have a limit of less then . And i cant make my own or lose weight in that short time period. I live in nj, so anywhere else is out! Im not wearing anything too low cut (its for school) and also no tube tops. I checked many places already. Like as:

I said plus size, im not an xl, im an xxl. I cant fit into places that dont have plus size stores. Im not allowed to spend over 40 dollars because my sister who doesnt have much money is paying for my dress (i dont get allowance and im too young for a job).

My baby boy is 11 wks old (brand new, to me) on top of my 12 week maternity leave I extended it 6 more weeks for baby bonding. I cannot imagine leaving my son right now when he is just getting to know me more and more, although he will be with a very trusted family friend of ours. We both would love for me to stay home until he is 6 months. The deal is that I started my job last year in March and my live in boyfriend sees growth potential in that company. Not to mention that I like it there being that it is a small firm and were very flexible with me throughout my pregnancy and let me off of work for 4 months still holding my position. They are totally cool!!!

Is it wrong for me not to go back within the next 2 weeks? Would they think that I used them for their insurance?

on the flip side….

We are also thinking in the best interest of our son!

I am American and my husband is British. We have a 4 month old son. We currently live in the UK.

My husband is having a hard time finding work and I am on maternity leave. My job requires to be full time and I would have no one to watch my son so I will have to work part time (2-3 days a week, if I can find someone to watch him) and my husband will have to work full time. If he can’t find a job, I don’t know how I will. Homes are so expensive here, we are currently living with his family to try to get on our feet (We are 22 years old). Nursery is too expensive, if I worked full time most of my money if not all would go to that. If we stay I need to get an indefinite leave to remain visa (lots of money, every visa is, and take a test)

If we move to America homes are cheaper but where we would be moving (near my family) there are even less jobs. You do not need a down payment for a home either, its optional. We would have to sell everything here just to move and get a visa (if possible, which is a long horrible process) My mother would be able to watch my son for free and we could both work fulltime, if we could get jobs. We would not get many if any benefits and recession is hitting hard there as well.

We don’t know if we should take the gamble or not. What is your advice? This is seriously stressing me out.

I recently lost my job and money is really tight!!! Although my pants are even tighter. I am 3 months pregnant with my 3rd and I am showing alot in my stomach. I am restricted to track pants and boxers at this point, and that doesnt leave me any options for going to interviews to look for another job!

I am 5’3 so if anyone has any Small maternity clothing in the Nashville TN area, it would be so greatly appreciated!! I am trying to scrape and scrounge for change to go check out Goodwill for Maternity clothes, but I thought that maybe if I asked for help that someone might be able to reach out and give me a hand.

Or if you know of any agencies that might be able to help, I did post a Wanted add on freecycle.com, but yet to hear anything.

Okay. Here’s the situation. I have a best friend who just had her first child back in January. Before, she had her daughter—she was very incognito. So much so, that I didn’t even find out until she was 7 months that she was pregnant. We are both 27. Graduated from the same college. She was engaged last year but her fiance (child’s father) called off the wedding. I was her maid of honor and the last time I had saw/spoke with her was at her dress fitting in March 2009. We live 15 hours away from each other. Anyway, I’m saying all this to say—as her best friend I got use to her not returning my calls and sometimes going weeks in between returning calls. (She was going through something) Well, since finding out I was pregnant (back in October) we reconnected significantly. The problem now is—she’s back working…and I am on an extended maternity leave. So, she calls me every morning on her way to work as well as on her way home from work. The first couple weeks of this was fine, but now I feel obligated to talk to her this much. I honestly don’t have that much to talk about twice a day, everyday. And on top of that—if I’m sleep/busy and her call goes to VM—-she’ll leave a message and then sometimes even call me back again before I can return her first call. I hate to sound ungrateful…but I am starting to dread her twice daily calls…especially when she mostly calls to vent and *nag* about her job or go on and on about other things that honestly, aren’t conversation worthy. I love talking to her, but would be a better conversationalist to only talk to her maybe 2-3 times a week. How can I let her now this, without offending her?

Ok So I know I am thinking ahead BUT my boss needs me to figure out what I am doing about my job by the end of the month. I get six weeks maternity leave for me and baby and I hear it takes six weeks to fully heal. Did it take you that long with your first? I need to work we cant afford me to be a SAHM. So my question is whats better? Dropping baby off at a Daycare at 6 weeks or hiring a home nanny or sitter? Is there a cheaper solution? I wish I could just stay home but it isnt going to be possible. My boyfriend doesnt make enough. Advice?
