What Percent Of Men Have Size 16 Shoes Or Bigger?

Just curious I have size 16′s and I have only ever met one other person with as big of feet as me.
It’s definetly way lower than 10% as I have only met one other person ever with as big of feet as me. Also to answer the 2nd person, I am a big 6’2" and quite broad.

33 weeks- everyone's saying I'm huge?

I’m 33 weeks pregnant. Up until 19 weeks I didn’t gain any weight or show at all. But once my belly popped, it popped, like overnight I went from fitting into my jeans to having to buy maternity jeans and having this belly out of nowhere. Once I popped I started gaining weight and fast, even though I’ve been careful about what I eat and have been walking at least 3 times per week if not more. I’ve noticed the weight I’ve gained hasn’t been just in my belly, it’s been my boobs, butt, thighs, hips and tummy but I’ve gained 40 lbs all together. My doctor was concerned about diabetes but all tests and urine screens have been negative and the baby is within normal growth ranges for how many weeks I am. My belly even measured 30-31cm at my 32 week appointment so the doctor is no longer concerned about baby’s size. Everyone else however, is always commenting on how huge I am and how I must be having twins. I’ve had 9 ultrasounds now, between 5 weeks and 30 weeks, there’s no way there’s twins. I’m only 5’4" with a short torso so the baby has nowhere to go but out front making me appear to be huge. At first it was like whatever, I didn’t care and just brushed it off when people would say how huge I am. But now it’s getting to a point where it’s annoying and I just can’t stand people asking me anymore. Is there a way to handle this situation without offending people but getting them to shut up about it before I get pissed off? Any other advice on how to stay calm?

Is this hypocritical?

Women complain they struggle with their careers when they are doing more work around the kids but then celebrate single motherhood and chant "who needs a man?", ‘fathers are useless’ etc…

Isn’t this inconsistent logic just nonsense and contradictory?

I’m not the type of person to just blend in with the crowd and wear Hollister and abercrombie, even though they have small sizes. So far I’ve lived of Delia’s tee shirts and abercrombie jeans. The problem is, I have my own distincting style and taste, I just can’t find any of it that I can fit into. I like vintage sorts of clothes, or that kind of style. But thats not all I like, I’m really open to all sorts of fashions. I’ll take basically anywhere you know that sells stylish teen fashions in smaller sizes. It drives me crazy that there’s so many plus size options available these days but no "minus size" options besides childrens clothing.
I’m into the junior stuff but because I’m small I can’t fit into it. It kinda sucks, I know in like 4 years I’ll be extremely grateful I’m so tiny but right now, not so great..

I have like 5 pairs and all of those say pink" or I love pink" in the waist band, is it weird to wear those during pregnancy? In your opinion.

I love children and I love being with them, talking to them and teaching them. However, I am unsure I’ll be able to comply with all the societal expectations of motherhood, wearing demure clothes, breastfeeding, enrolling my child in all kinds of activities, spending hours with them doing their homework. I don’t think I could be a good "soccer mom". I think kids should amuse themselves and do their own homework (as I did). Am I too selfish for modern motherhood?

My 4 year old Labrador/Dalmation/Staffy mix is about to give birth thanks to my no-good Doberman/Poodle mix who made her pregnant in the first place! Anyhow, how do I care and prepare for the baby puppies? She is 64 days pregnant and has already started nesting. I’ve never been in this sitation but as I don’t think fixing pets is necissery and I am buying a not-fixed 1 year old female Beagle soon, I migh be in the situation again so I need ALLLLLLLL the help I can get now! I don’t plan to come back to this site as I have read in other questions, millions of people who answer about pregnant dogs and "NEWBIE" dog breeders are rude and mean. Anyhow, again, any advice for me? Would it be alright for my 7 year old daughter to start playing with her puppies as soon as they have been delivered and how long should I wait to get them vet checked and what do I do if something goes wrong? I’m very scared because Lilly’s mom gave birth to her litter throw ceseraian.

Fired while 35 weeks pregnant?

The morning of the day of my termination I woke up to swollen feet. I work at a medical records office, which is closed off to the public and its usually always the same people there. I decided to wear flip flops with my scrubs because I knew that if I put on socks and sneakers the situation would get worse. On fridays and sundays we are allowed to wear casual clothing and flip flops if we wanted to. So I didn’t think it was a big deal for me to wear them because of my swollen feet. Also, I have a good personal and professional relationship with all of my managers so i figured they would understand. I go in that morning and go about my daily duties as a trainer (which keeps me on my feet all day). I had clocked in at 8:30. Since im close to the end of my pregnancy I use the bathroom a lot more. I had gotten up twice passing my boss’ office. When I go into the scanning room my boss’ brother looks down at my feet and smirks. I shrug it off and go back to my desk. At 9:30 am my boss approaches me and asks "What are you wearing?" and I proceeded to explain why I was wearing flip flops but he cut me off and said I must go home. and that I should have worn Crocs or something. I was trying to tell him I did not have the money to buy anything else and that I tried to make the best of the situation that morning so I can come to work. I previously asked a co worker whom was pregnant while working at this job about 2 years ago what she had wore and she told me she wore some cartoon bedroom slippers, so I didnt think I was doing anything wrong. So I go home and decide to rest I woke up around 3pm and realized I missed a call from my boss and I called him back. He had called me 5 mins before I realized I missed his call. As soon as I answer he tells me that "they" (him and his aunt who is the manager for the site and made him manager of the office) decided to terminate me. He then tells me very rudely that I should have gone into a store and bought some cheap little sandals or something???? I was very distraught and began to cry and ask him why he is doing this. He continued to be rude about it and I was getting very tense and ill and hung up. I was completely shocked because up until then things were fine at the job and even the managers were looking forward to go to my baby shower. So for this sudden termination and disrespect, it had me torn. I was so close to being on my maternity leave i didnt understand why they would even fire me. There is alot to this story and the way these people do things but to shorten this up. I filed for unemployment and was denied. A lady contacted me and told me I was denied because of misconduct at the workplace and because I was pregnant i wouldnt be able to work anyways!!!! I just want some opinions on what I should do when this happened I was going throught a lot and didnt attempt to do anything it has been 7 months and I have gathered more info and actual employees who have seen the wrong doings these people do. Should I take legal action? Do I have a case? thanks.
I live in Florida. My fiance who works there asked why I was fired and they said because I abandoned the workplace. He said I was supposed to come back but, I was never told to come back. I never received a previous warning or suspension. So basically its their word against mine. They have some personal issues with me and have previously gossiped and have set me up as well as other people. Im only 21 at the time I was 20. I believe they will set me up, because they know they have done wrong. This company is run my family so I cannot go to HR or the Ceo.

I’m 5’6", 145lbs an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. I’m going gown shopping in September and can’t get a good handle on what type of gown would look good on my figure. All the guides discuss problem areas, body shapes, full this petite that, none of which I am. My body, I’m small chested, a B cup on a good day. Wear size 4-6 in normal dresses. Average waist and hips, muscular, long torso, I look normal from the front but been told I "disappear" turning profile. My biggest fear is looking like a linebacker or incredible hulking out of dresses that confine my broad shoulders. It’s an outdoor ceremony, which calls for a more informal style. I’m not into poofy gowns with giant trains. I’m classic and professional in my daily style. Married ladies or people who know dresses, please help! I like having ideas before making decisions.

Okay, I’m a girl with a 42" bust, a 30" waist, and 43" hips. I’m NOT a plus size girl, I’m just, as to put it in Monty Python terms, a girl with "huge… tracks of land".

My problem is that I love colorful neon clothing. For example, I love the junior bras with rainbow stripes or neon green splatters, or the bright colored tank tops and hoodies with green stripes and purple dinosaurs. I see them all the time– however, I DON’T FIT INTO THEM.

Look, anyone, please tell me if you know, where can I buy these clothes I love so much? I’m sick of having to revert to the stupid misses section to find a bra or tank top that is NOT comfortable and I don’t even want to wear.

Can someone tell me if there is a single store that sells clothing to girls with my problem?

Hi all. I am 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first child!!! Today, I was talking to my husband about my pants not fitting and was wondering if anyone else bought maternity clothes or larger sizes of clothes so early in a pregnancy? My normal size 00/0 or 14 (in children’s clothing… I am 5’2" and 85 lbs not pregnant) are becoming too tight around my stomach and it is bothering me quite a bit. Anyone else in the same boat? What did you do? I haven’t gained too much weight, maybe just a pound but for someone my size that is more than usual. Also, I think most of it is bloating but gah it’s uncomfortable!!!

Many of you think that health care should be paid for, not provided by the government. Well lets look at health care costs:
The average cost for a hospital stay is ,398 in relatively high-cost Switzerland and ,206 in the United States.
Who can pay that much for a hospital stay?!! Even with Insurance (which only the lucky few in our country have), hospital bills are the #1 reason in America that people declare bankruptcy.
This is from http://articles.sfgate.com:
"Holland and Switzerland rely exclusively on private insurance, and all three rely on private doctors. The three European nations deliver universal coverage and world-class quality at a fraction of what Americans spend. All of them require that everyone purchase insurance, make sure everyone can afford it and ban insurers from such practices as refusing to cover the sick that are common in the United States."

The United States spends more than any other country in the world on Health Care, yet we have the lowest number of people who have access to health care. We have, on average, NO paid maternity leave, as opposed to the 32 weeks of paid maternity leave in Sweden. WE HAVE ONE OF THE LOWEST LIFE EXPECTANCIES IN THE DEVELOPED WORLD AND THE HIGHEST RATE OF INFANT MORTALITY! We have one of the lowest percentages of people with normal body mass, and the highest percentage of people who believe their health care system needs fundamental change.
All that data is right here:

http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-healthcare.htm

Also, about the quality of care in Europe; well, here’s some data on that too:
"Europe has more doctors, more hospital beds and more patient visits than the United States. Take Switzerland: 4.9 doctors per thousand residents compared with 2.4 in the United States."

http://articles.sfgate.com/2009-11-29/news/17180234_1_health-insurance-health-care-health-coverage

You say that Canadians regularly come to the United States for health care, yet only 2% of Canadians think that the US has a better health care system than they do.
Whoever the idiot was who said that the UK isn’t a free society…the King and Queen are just figureheads, they hold no actual power. The UK has a representative, democratic parliamentary system. They elect their Prime Minister, just like we elect our President.
In Newsweek’s list of the top 100 Countries in the World, the United States came in at #11, with every European Country (Canada and Japan are ahead of us too) ahead of it having the same freedom house ranking, but with higher political participation and political stability.

http://www.newsweek.com/2010/08/15/interactive-infographic-of-the-worlds-best-countries.html

Here is a commentary on politics in Europe from http://www.cafebabel.co.uk/article/32207/europe-united-states-economy-politics-system.html:
"After centuries of kings and dictators, Europe’s political institutions and electoral methods have produced the most advanced representative democracies in the world, fostering inclusiveness, participation, consensus, multiparty representation and policy based on broad public support. Politics rule over economics, instead of the other way around."

Massachusetts has been learning from the European Union, and has already gone ahead with its own health care legislation:
The Massachusetts health care insurance reform law, enacted in 2006, mandates that nearly every resident of Massachusetts obtain a state-government-regulated minimum level of healthcare insurance coverage and provides free health care insurance for residents earning less than 150% of the federal poverty level (FPL)[1] who are not eligible for Mass Health (Medicaid).

The truth is, the United States has the best Emergency Care in the world. However:
"Advanced U.S. medical technology has not translated into better health statistics for its citizens; indeed, the U.S. ranks near the bottom in list after list of international comparisons. Part of the problem is that there is more profit in a pound of cure than an ounce of prevention. Another part of the problem is that America has the highest level of poverty and income inequality among all rich nations, and poverty affects one’s health much more than the limited ministrations of a formal health care system."

According to, http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com:
"The nation’s poverty rate, about 17%, is third worst among the advanced nations tracked by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. In that sample, only Turkey and Mexico are worse."

And regarding Taxes:

http://www.businesspundit.com:

The USA has one of the lowest tax rates in the world. Notice that Switzerland also has one of the lowest tax rates, but 98% of their population is covered by public health care, they have one of the highest life expectancies in the world, and one of the lowest infant mortality rates.

Please respond with FACT, not rumor.
The Republican party, just this month, refused to even discuss a bill for 9/11 first responders, which would provide them with medical care they desperately need after digging in the rubble of the Twin Towers. The Republicans did this so that the richest 2% of the country get tax cuts. This makes me sick. The Republican party cannot pretend to be supporting the average person, when all they’re really doing is protecting themselves, big business (which has hijacked our government), and their millionaire buddies. Here is an interesting bit on Conservatism from www.alternet.org:

"The fascinating thing about conservatism is that many poor people subscribe to its principles thanks in large part to Fox News and talk radio, even though it calls for doing away with the safety net. This is crucial for forming a conservative utopia because the wealthy business interests who push for deregulation need the impoverished to provide (usually cheap and hard) labor and perform other menial tasks."

So
