In a current novel I’m writing, my main character (who’s a mermaid) is getting married as a human (as one, not to one. She’s actually marrying a merman who is also stuck as a human).
She doesn’t really want to be human, but she doesn’t really have a choice. I’m trying to decide if I should make her wedding dress blue like the ocean, or stick to the original white. (Oh, by the way, she’s pregnant.)

I got engaged in Aug 2010, we planned for a December wedding. We found out two months later I was two months pregnant so we decided December 3 2011 after the baby was born. We ended up losing our son at 23 weeks dued to premature labor. Everything is already being planned out wedding wise other than wedding dress and bridal dress. Well we just found out almost 2 weeks ago were we pregnant again!! I will be 6 months pregnant by Dec(WE PRAY)! And I have no ideal when is the best time to get my dress because I don’t know what size I will be in??

I know that there is a significant size difference, because my mom’s wedding dress is a 12 and when I held my size 6 pants up to them, the 12′s were a good 4 inches smaller. I won’t go to prom this year if I have to get a plus size dress. No one wants to see that.

It’s so hard to plan your wedding without your Mom. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 10yrs but my parents are both deceased, my mom died when I was eleven and my dad when I was 18 and I am missing them more than ever. Not having them at my wedding is the only reason I’ve put it off for so long, and now I could use my Mom’s advise more than ever.

My cousin got married last weekend and is having a reception back home in a few weeks on the 8th. My daughter will be 1 month old the 7th. My Mom bought her a fancy dress to wear and now I have to figure out what my son and I should wear. I think it’s pretty informal but since my daughter has the fancy dress (it was an easter dress from walmart my Mom got on clearance for but it’s got lacy and ruffles and everything) I want to figure out something for my son and I that won’t look goofy since it will just be the three of us since Daddy has to work, he can’t take the time off since he took off a bunch when I had the baby. So any ideas what I should dress us in? I know that my cousin that got married doesn’t have a wedding dress it’s just a short white dress she got from vonmaur. I have a white dress that has big red and black flowers on it but I didn’t know if that was inappropriate or not? I’m kind of limited as to what I can wear cause I’m breastfeeding, I have to be able to chase my toddler, and I don’t want to be uncomfortable. Plus I’m like at a weird size. I was a 5 before I had my toddler and then from breastfeeding I got down to a 0 and I didn’t buy any sizes in between because I didn’t know what was wrong with me cause I kept losing weight well then I stopped bf him and got pregnant so I then went to maternity clothing. So I’m not a 5 but I’m not a 0 either and I only have a small small amount of clothing to work with and once again I don’t want to buy anything that may not fit in a month you know. So I have like two choices for dresses either a plain black one or the one I already mentioned. I may have a few skirts but it’s not likely. So what should I do? Thanks. Oh and if I dress my son in a polo and plaid shorts with tennis shoes is that dressy enough? Thanks.
Sorry I know it’s stupid to worry so much over an outfit but my cousin is a lawyer and I don’t want to look like the hillbilly’s from down south. I feel like I’m always having to prove myself with my family because I’m still in college and currently working part-time and my fiance works full-time but he got laid-off from his good job to work at a crappy one until he finds something else, so they are always questioning my money situation. So I don’t like to have anything out of place around them cause I don’t want them to feel sorry for me. I choose this life and we are happy but my family doesn’t understand that.

Okay here is my situation..I get married next saturday. I ordered a maternity wedding dress from the internet and it was being made in china, they still havent sent it out and I really doubt now it will come in time. I need to purchase one this weekend that I can try on so needs to be from the high street. Also so I can return it if my other custom made one shows up.

Any ideas? Please help.
